Polly Ruth Polak
Assistant Professor of Public International Law and International Relations at the University of Salamanca.
Dr Polly Ruth Polak is Assistant Professor of Public International Law and International Relations at the University of Salamanca. She teaches EU Law, Public International Law, International Relations, Diplomacy and Foreign Policy, and Human Rights Law.
Her academic research is focused mainly on European Union Law. More specifically, her areas of interest cover Brexit, EU values, EU citizenship and Human Rights in Europe. Her latest publications include a book titled “EU Withdrawal as a Supranational Affair: The Case of Brexit” with the prestigious Dutch Publishing House Brill Nijhoff. Another upcoming publication in February 2024 is titled “The Emergence of EU Withdrawal Law” to be part of the top EU Law Journal Common Market Law Review and coauthored with Prof. Ramses A. Wessel. Furthermore, she has also written a recent Article on the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the new global order which will be published shortly in Nationalities Papers (Cambridge University Press). These and other publications have been widely presented at different national and international conferences organised by distinguished institutions such as City University of London, the Max Planck Institute and the International Society of Public Law (ICON).
Dr Polly Ruth Polak earned her Master and PhD Degrees at the University of Salamanca, while enjoying research stays at Queen Mary University of London (United Kingdom) and the University of Groningen (Netherlands).
