Isabel Inguanzo Ortiz, University of Loyola-Andalucía
Dr Isabel Inguanzo is an associate professor of the Political Science Area at Universidad de Salamanca. She holds a BA in Sociology and a MA in Political Science from the University of Salamanca. She got a PFU Grant from the Spanish Ministry of Education (2009-2013) and a PhD in contemporary political processes from the University of Salamanca. From 2014 to 2015 Dr. Inguanzo worked at the UNESCO Office for the Pacific States in Samoa. Dr Inguanzo has been a visiting researcher at the University of California (USA), Institute for Southeast Asian Studies (Singapore), Institute for Minority Rights (Italy) and the European University Institute (Italy). She has also been a visiting professor at the Universidad del Norte (Colombia), Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (Mexico) and Universidad del País Vasco (Spain) and lectured several subjects at the University of Salamanca. Her research interests are Comparative and Ethnic Politics, Politics in the Asia-Pacific Region, Human Rights and International Civil Society. She has published several articles in international peer-reviewed journals, a book on Indigenous Peoples Rights in Southeast Asia (CIS, Madrid 2016) and few policy papers for UNESCO and UNDP.
