Elena Gil

Elena Gil Moreno holds the position of Adjunct Professor in Political Science at the University of Salamanca. She completed her PhD in Social Science and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the same institution. Her master’s degree in Territorial Policies and Cross-Border Cooperation was accomplished at the University of Vigo and the University of Minho (Portugal).
Dr. Gil also served as an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Education and Social Work at the University of Valladolid. She is an active member of the Castile and Leon Sociology Association (SOCYL), which is dedicated to the dissemination of Social Sciences. Concurrently, she is involved in various research projects, including an Erasmus+ initiative focused on preventing radicalism in Europe, and another project, financially supported by the Ministry of Education, that centers on the analysis of green discourses within companies listed on the IBEX and public institutions.
Additionally, Dr. Gil has contributed to associations and public institutions dedicated to development and citizen participation. Her research focuses on analyzing collective action on the Internet from both a comparative and comprehensive standpoint. She has delved into diverse phenomena such as crowdfunding, cyberfeminism, and more recently, QAnon
