Sandra P. Buteau, LL.M., PCC is an international career development and executive leadership coach, educator, facilitator, and founder of L2T Global Consulting, LLC (L2T). With more than 25 years of experience in higher education, career development, coaching, and professional development, she has supported graduate students, executives, lawyers, emerging leaders, and professionals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds in developing purposeful and successful careers.
Sandra's career development expertise is grounded in extensive experience within leading U.S. universities. She served as Director of Graduate Career and Professional Development at Georgetown University Law Center, where she led career development services for graduate law students and supervised a team of career professionals. Earlier, at American University Washington College of Law, she developed career programs for internationally trained lawyers, helping them navigate career management, professional positioning, networking, interviewing, and employment opportunities across different professional and cultural environments.
Sandra currently serves as an Executive and Career Coach with Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, where she works with MBA and graduate students on career exploration, professional branding, leadership development, networking, interviewing, and career transitions. She has also served as a Leadership Coach at the University of Michigan School of Public Health, helping graduate students develop leadership capabilities, self-awareness, communication skills, and strategies for creating positive professional impact.
Through her firm, L2T, Sandra provides career coaching and professional development services to individuals and organizations. Her work encompasses career exploration and decision-making, career transitions, professional identity and personal branding, résumé and LinkedIn development, networking, interviewing, negotiation, leadership development, and strategic career planning.
Sandra brings a particularly international and cross-cultural perspective to career development. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and also speaks French. Her multicultural background, legal education, and experience working with internationally trained professionals have shaped an approach to career development that recognizes the importance of cultural context, transferable skills, adaptability, and the ability to communicate one's professional value across borders.
A Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Sandra holds a Leadership Coaching Certificate from Georgetown University and is a certified Mindfulness-Based Strategic Awareness Training (MBSAT) Trainer and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® practitioner. She integrates coaching, reflective practice, leadership development, and practical career strategies to help individuals make informed career decisions and take purposeful action.
Sandra holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Admiralty and Maritime Law from Tulane University Law School and a Law Degree in Derecho y Ciencias Políticas from Universidad de Panamá, where she graduated with honors.
As an educator, Sandra is passionate about helping students develop self-awareness, career competencies, professional confidence, and strategic tools needed to navigate today's evolving global workplace.
