Khartoum: Screening and Colloquium with Director Ibrahim Mohamed Ahmed Snoopy Marks MGIS Academic Opening
As part of the inaugural activities for the new academic year, the Master in Global & International Studies hosted a special screening of Khartoum, followed by a director’s colloquium with filmmaker Ibrahim Mohamed Ahmed Snoopy.
The documentary offered participants a powerful lens through which to reflect on the ongoing conflict in Sudan. The subsequent discussion deepened this reflection, giving students and faculty the rare opportunity to engage directly with the director.
The event was introduced by Matilde Olarte, Vice-Chancellor for Culture, Heritage, Sustainability and Campus Development at the University of Salamanca, alongside MGIS directors Fernando López-Alves and Ángela Suárez-Collado. The colloquium was moderated by Professor Alfredo Langa, MGIS faculty member, Sudan expert, and lecturer at Alice Salomon University in Berlin.
