Projects and Transference


Our Think Tank  participates as Observing Promoter (EPO) of the research project “Análisis de la gestión y explotación de los recursos naturales en situaciones de conflicto: el caso del Sahara Occidental”, directed by Dr. Raquel Ojeda-García (University of Granada). The project, financed by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, involves 14 researchers from seven European universities (Univesidad de Granada, Universidad de Jaén, Universidad Pablo de Olavide, Universidad de Salamanca, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Université Paris Decartes, University of Durham), two Canadian academic institutions (Brandeis University, Université Laval) and the University of Las Américas in Mexico.

It also promotes the ongoing research project “Nationalism and Populism in Europe, Latin America, and the United States: 1989-2020”. Professor Fernando Lopez-Alves coordinates and directs this initiative, which counts with the participation of 11 distinguished scholars from Europe, the United States, and Latin America. A first publication connected to this research effort has materialized in the book by Lopez-Alves and Johnson, Populist Nationalism in Europe and the Americas, Routledge, New York and London, 2018.

The Think Tank offers services to the following areas and actors: Business, Media, Academia, International and Local Organizations, Regional and National Governments, Private Parties,  and NGOs. At present, our Think Tank  pursues 5 different general lines of  research: 1) Conflict Resolution and Peace Processes in Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America; 2) Nationalism and National Identity in Europe and the Americas,  3) The Future of the European Union and its Relation with the United States,  4) Global Security and Intelligence, and 5) Global Migration and Environmental Policies.
