Ola Familoni, Professor of Management

With focus on Strategy and Entrepreneurship. She is the Chairman and Founder of ICLED, International Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurial Development based in Nigeria. ICLED has been on the cutting edge of developing Leaders and Entrepreneurs in Nigeria and other nations. Ola Facilitates executive Leadership training for firms in the Public and Private Sector. As a Management Consultant she is involved in Recruitment services for organization, facilitation of trade partnerships between firms in different countries. Development of Human Capital and ICLED Business School of Leadership and Entrepreneurship. Ola is also the Chairman Board of Trustees of Global Initiative for Entrepreneurship and Capacity Development. An organization focused on development of women and the girl child. Prior to this she founded as Chief Executive Officer an apparel design and manufacturing company that sold fashion and uniforms to fortune 500 firms in the USA. She facilitated the high level negotiation and product development with clients, sourced production in South East Asia and Mexico, USA.

Ola has a PhD in Management with a Focus on Leadership, she is a graduate of Economics, from the prestigious University of Lagos in Nigeria, 1980. She graduated Cum Laude in Masters in Public Administration in Memphis TN USA, 1990, earned her Doctorate from University of Phoenix in Arizona, 2002. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Administrators from University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She was a member of the Board at Mayors office on Multicultural affairs in Tennessee, USA, Member of the Governors panel on university visitation for due diligence in Nigeria. She was guest lecturer and consultant at Covenant University, Lagos, Nigeria, Guest lecturer at the Lagos Business School, Executive MBA class. She was Director of the Lead City University Business School, Director of the University Consultancy unit. She coordinated the approval and accreditation of the BSc Entrepreneurship program. She was pioneer Chair of the Department. She also established the Center for Entrepreneurship for the University.

As a researcher, Ola worked with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) on research in Africa, on “Popular Participation of Grassroots Leadership in Sub Saharan Africa”. She presents papers nationally and internationally, in places such as Antibes: France, Florence: Italy, Johannesburg: South Africa, Lagos: Nigeria, USA, UK etc. She is a notable guest speaker at several forums on Entrepreneurship. Ola is an Author of about 10 books on Leadership and Entrepreneurship, such as Leadership style that wins, Intuition in Leadership, Entrepreneurship in Emergent Nations and more. She has about 50 publications in National and international Journals. For her contribution to Students and her devotion to youth she was awarded the ICON of Entrepreneurship by the National Union of Nigerian Students, (NANS) She has several other awards to her name. She seats on the Board of a number of organizations.

Ola is a family woman and shuttles between Lagos, Nigeria and The USA where her family resides.
